On 03 November 2022, an online meeting was held between His Excellency Director General of IOFS Yerlan Baidaulet and His Excellency Ambassador Gerhard Putman-Cramer, Chief Executive Officer, DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Foundation. The Director General of IOFS was invited as a keynote speaker to the upcoming event of the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Event (DIHAD), to be held on the 13-15 March 2023, under the theme, “Energy and Aid; capitalising on available resources.“ The event is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

As stated by the organization, the DIHAD Conference & Exhibition serves the International Humanitarian Aid and Development Community in the Middle East, Africa and the world.

H.E. Amb. Gerhard Putman-Cramer shared that the Conference will address the following topics:
- “The impact of rapidly changing sources and costs of energy on humanitarian aid and development”;
- “Supply chains and food security”;
- “Harnessing resources 1/ in pursuit of global health and wellbeing; 2/ for inclusive, equitable quality education; 3/ to assist the growing numbers of people on the move”; and
- “Caring for the planet; the role of new technologies”.

H.E.D.G. of IOFS in turn stated that he looks forward to participating at this important global humanitarian event, and acknowledged the success of the Conference. H.E. Yerlan Baidaulet also sent his warm regards to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He highlighted that IOFS also took an active role in the 2022 Conference, and was able to start new partnerships, as well as enhance relationships with partners. H.E. Yerlan Baidaulet highlighted that the IOFS formed a partnership with the company Bondh E Shams, a global water charity, which helped IOFS implement 6 Oasis Water Boxes within its Afghanistan Food Security Program, as a result of the 2022 DIHAD Event.

Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and exchange information to ensure the success of the 2023 Conference and Exhibition.
