On 27 September 2022 the IOFS Director General H.E. Prof. Yerlan A. Baidaulet held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye, H.E. Mr. Sedat Onal. The first meeting arranged between IOFS and Turkey Foreign Office was devoted to discussion of a wide range of essential issues.
IOFS Director General conveyed appreciation for the warm welcome, while presenting IOFS’s activities on Afghanistan Food Security Programme, “2022 IOFS Year of Africa” implementation plan, highlighted standout achievements of the last few years and emphasized commendable effort the Turkish diplomats have made towards supporting IOFS initiatives.

The Deputy Minister noted a paramount significance of mutual partnership between bodies, outlining the viability of collaboration between IOFS and TIKA in fulfilling IOFS Global agenda humanitarian programs.

Parties are committed to strengthening their partnership and deepening a strategic dialogue in seeking feasible solutions to promote sustainable, and healthy food system projects based on pragmatic commitments on the OIC region through multilateral IOFS platform.
Furthermore, IOFS Director General had brief working meetings with Regional Advisor of UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees in the Near East, Mr.Mehmet Kose,   Deputy Secretary General of the  Organisation of Turkic States, Mr. Gismat Gozalov and its Project Director, Mr. Yerzhan Mustafin. Parties discussed prospects of future cooperation between institutions with emphasis on the humanitarian projects.
