On November 4, 2019, Ambassador of Republic of Kazakhstan to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Berik Aryn held a meeting with Executive President of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey. During the meeting, parties discussed Saudi food standards that are required to pass to obtain halal certification.
Mr. Aryn informed that all necessary work on development of halal industry in Kazakhstan has been undertaken.
Sides agreed to continue joint efforts on unification of halal standards, which would allow Kazakhstan to export its agricultural products to the Kingdom.
