“Arab Times” Kuwait-based English language daily news network has published an article referring to the government source “Al-Rai daily”. The review is dedicated to the critical importance of food security to the state’s welfare and recalls pursuing powerful measures able to avert global price increases and food shortages’ effect on the country. Such measures as the article claim, are unable to reassure consumers regarding short-term and medium-term food supply and guarantee that country will be less affected by global fluctuations.

Food shortage prevention measures include increasing the per capita share of chicken by 50 percent. Ministry of Commerce and Industry will additionally cover the price increase for supply by ten percent. Kuwait aims to set its own shares in international units that provide continuation of flows of food without severe shortage of goods caused by global market fluctuations and competition for goods between countries.
