An article placed by the Saudi Arabia English-language daily newspaper’s website ‘Arab News’ talks about Saudi date export volume and highlights the value of palms and dates in Saudi Arabia estimated SR7.5 billion and ensures 12 percent of the agricultural gross product and 0.4 percent of the non-oil gross product of the country. This production capacity allows the country to rank first globally in the value of date exports in 2021 that reached SR1.2 billion ($320 million).

Saudi Arabia the National Center for Palms and Dates stated that these outcomes   impact on enhancing non-oil exports and increasing of workplace in planting system also improving the production of palm and exports of dates. The UN FAO has congratulated Saudi Arabia on this achievement in date exports.
