IOFS MEETINGS WITHIN VISIT TO EGYPT

On February 24, 2022 Ambassador Daulet Yemberdiyev, IOFS Director of the Cooperation and Protocol Office held a bilateral meeting with Chief of the Natural Resources sustainability and partnership department of the League of Arab States (LAS) H.E. Ms. Shahira Hassan Wahby.
During the meeting parties explored accelerating of a signing procedure of MoU between IOFS and LAS, initiated on September 2021, as well as facilitating the process of appointing observers to the specialized institutions of the LAS and to the IOFS as well.
Other highlights during the meeting included discussing of MoU between IOFS and The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) concluded on August 2019 and successful course of the mutual cooperation between two organizations, particularly in the field of animal transboundary diseases.
Mr.Daulet Yemberdiev expressed willingness of the IOFS to establish bilateral cooperation with other LAS institutions that specialize in the agricultural, hydraulic and food security sectors, emphasizing the importance of partnership with the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Drylands (ACSAD), the General Assembly of Arab agricultural Ministers of the LAS.
