On May 12, 2022 during the 1st day of the visit of N’Djamena, Republic of Chad, IOFS Director General HE Mr.Yerlan A. Baidaulet, accompanied by Mr. Sofian Ben Mouaddeb, Senior Country Manager hold a meeting with Mr.Tahir Mourno Adam, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Chad, and Mrs. Sanda Ildjima Badda Mallot, General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad.
IOFS delegation conveyed appreciation for the warm welcome and the opportunity given to introduce IOFS activities. HE Mr.Yerlan A. Baidaulet presented a brief overview of IOFS as an OIC specialized institution, IOFS Strategic Framework, and IOFS vision 2031.  Particular attention was given to the IOFS’s two global initiatives as Afghanistan Food Security Program and “2022: IOFS Year of Africa''.
IOFS Director General emphasized valuable support of IOFS programs and activities by prominent Chadian politician and diplomat and current Secretary General of OIC H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha and expressed appreciation for the great efforts in leading the second largest intergovernmental organization.  
Parties also discussed opportunities of establishing bilateral connections with Chadian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to improve participation in intra-OIC trade through attracting private sector representatives of Chad to the IOFS Subsidiary IFPA.  Other key aspects during the talks included discussing prospects of Chad membership in IOFS, annual contribution terms, benefits and obligations of the membership and parties expressed mutual hope to facilitate Chad’s entrance to the IOFS.
