On February 15, 2022 IOFS Director General H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet hold a meeting with CEO of Qatar Charity, H.E. Mr. Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari.

During the meeting parties discussed means of enhancing cooperation in several areas encompassing wide range of issues related to the state of food security in Member States, the defense of a stable, sustainable social safety nets and humanitarian assistance based on food security reserves is essential to implement the Afghanistan Food Security Programs (AFSP) and stabilize food insecurity situation in Afghanistan.
IOFS Director General H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet conveyed also IOFS plan to hold a Donor Conference on Afghanistan in mid-May 2022 and possible commitment of Qatar Charity in the event.
Following the day program, the IOFS Director General conducted bilateral meeting with Governing Board Chairman of the Qatar Airways Company, H.E. Akbar Al Baker.

IOFS Director General after brief review on the IOFS mandate and actions on Afghanistan discussed about financial or logistical support by Qatar Airways in providing 15 000 tons of Kazakhstani flour to Afghanistan in collaboration with UNAMA Hub in Almaty.
Some key aspects of IOFS Plan of Activities for Africa (IOFS 2022 Year of Africa) being implemented in different parts of the African continent, particularly in Sub-Saharan zone were particularly discussed and in this context, closer interaction between the two Entities, especially in providing funding opportunities for African Member States is emphasized.
