On February 14, 2022 Minister of Municipality and Environment of the States of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie received IOFS Director General HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet. Parties discussed wide range of issues related to cooperation and joint activities in food security sector.
IOFS Director General HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet extended appreciation for warmth hospitality and organization of the joint Strategic Commodities and Food Safety Forum, 14-16 February 2022. IOFS Director General provided brief information on the vision and mission of the IOFS mandate in Afghanistan, as well as through application of Afghanistan Food Security Program (AFSP). Other highlights of the discussion included IOFS Plan of Activities for Africa within 2022 the “The Year of Africa” program being implemented in different parts of the African continent, especially in providing funding opportunities for African Member States in need.
Minister, H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie welcomed HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet and expressed appreciation for a visit and for the significant effort IOFS has made towards implementation of humanitarian, social, and economic strategic initiatives with essential impacts on food security systems. The two sides exchanged views on further enhancing cooperation aimed at supporting intra-OIC food security systems.
Furthermore, the Director General of IOFS HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet had a meeting with CEO of the Hassad Food Company and Chairman of the Widam Food Company, H.E. Mohamed Badr Al-Sadah. Parties discussed deepening partnership and a strategic dialogue to implement targeted projects in the food security sphere, particularly joint implementation of the IOFS Livestock System where Hassad Food can adjoin as one of the main participants of the project.
