The prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia were discussed with Chairman of the Board of Council Saudi Chambers

On October 16, 2019, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia H.E. Mr. Berik Aryn had a meeting with Dr. Sami Abdullah Al-Abidi, Chairman of the Board of Council of Saudi Chambers. The parties discussed ways to expand of cooperation between the two countries in the trade and economic directions as well as considered investment opportunities in Kazakhstan.
In this regard, the Ambassador informed the Chairman about the current economic development of Kazakhstan, including its activities in the Eurasian Economic Union, the investment climate in our country and measures taken by the government to further improve it.
Dr. Sami Al-Abidi took with great interest information on the economic development and existing investment opportunities in Kazakhstan. He expressed readiness to assist in establishing mutually beneficial ties between the business circles of two countries. 
In order to identify promising areas of cooperation, it was agreed to organize a workshop in Riyadh with participation of the regional CCIs of the Kingdom and representatives of Kazakhstan’s bodies responsible for the trade and economic direction and the tourism sector. Along with this, the parties agreed to intensify work on the creation and holding of the 1st meeting of the Business Council of Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.
The Consul of Saudi Chambers operates in accordance with the Royal Decree of March 1980 with headquarter in Riyadh. The Council represents the interests of the small, medium and large businesses of the Kingdom, covering all areas of entrepreneurship: industry, trade, agriculture, the financial system and services. At the same time, it promotes the activities of 28 territorial chambers of commerce and industry of the regions of the country by establishing and developing partnerships with foreign organizations and business circles.
