On April 26, 2021 the working meeting of the IOFS General Director H.E. Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet with a member of the IOFS Executive Board, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Nurbek S. Dairbekov took place at the Ministry of Agriculture.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of upcoming IOFS events: the 7th meeting of the IOFS Executive Board scheduled for June 7, 2021, as well as organizational matters of the 4th IOFS General Assembly to be hosted by the Republic of Kazakhstan in September 2021.
The parties noted the importance of coordinated actions and enhancing cooperation between the IOFS Secretariat and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the implementation of the IOFS strategic programs.
The representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan were invited to take part in upcoming IOFS online events in May related to the development, conservation and exchange of genetic resources (establishing the OIC PAGR Center), as well as the promotion of intra-OIC direct investments with the assistance of the national investment agencies.
