On February 24, 2021, the Director-General of IOFS Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet held an online meeting with the Italian consulting firm "LA International Cooperation S.r.l." to follow up the development of the OIC Food Security Reserves program. The consultations were conducted in the framework of the technical support provided by the Islamic Development Bank for the preliminary study of the institutional structure of the IOFS. During the meeting the consultant presented the pre-feasibility study regarding the establishment of the OIC Food Security Reserves.
It worth noting that the consultant’s proposals are planned to be discussed with the representatives of the OIC Member States and international organizations at the next conference, scheduled to take place online in April.
These activities are being conducted within the framework of the implementation of the Fourth General Assembly Resolutions, held on December 2-3, 2020.
