On 12 November, Director-General of IOFS Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet visited Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan to discuss with Ambassador Majiad Samadzadeh Saber current cooperation between IOFS and Government of Iran.
His Excellency Ambassador informed that Iran is keen to cooperate with IOFS and is pleased to know that Turkey will have chairmanship of IOFS 3rd General Assembly on 2-3 December 2020 an online platform. Furthermore, His Excellency Ambassador briefed that Iran's mandatory contribution to IOFS will follow once the IOFS Statute is first ratified by Iranian Parliament.
Sheikh Bilal - Head of Project office IOFS, introduced the International Islamic Food Processing Association (IFPA) and its opportunities, such as, deliberate upon matters of intra-OIC trade development especially import/export demand for processed food between B2B. His Excellency Ambassador will introduce us to major Iranian businesses and happy to help plan a webinar, online roundtable with them. Moreover, stands ready to organise visit with business delegation to Iran for IFPA.
In addition, His Excellency Ambassador will speak with Iranian Minister of Agriculture about ensuring his participation in the IOFS General Assembly and about today's successful meeting.
At the end of the meeting, parties agreed that His Excellency Ambassador would introduce IOFS to Iraqi key contacts due to close relationship between Iran and Iraq.
