In honour of World Food Day, IOFS wishes to reassert its commitment to food security and celebrate contributions of all individuals, stakeholders and organizations that are working towards a Zero Hunger World. Food is a basic and fundamental human right, and this year it is apparent as never before. Food and agriculture proved to be essential to the COVID-19 response all around the world.

In light of current pandemic, we must honour the work of those who produce and deliver food to the communities despite the difficult circumstances.

Today’s annual celebration marks the importance of the agricultural sector and food industry and raises awareness of the need to value and preserve our food resources.
