Director-General attends the Second Brainstorming Session on Comprehensive Reform of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation

On 19-20 February 2020, H.E. Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet, Director General of IOFS is attending the 2nd Brainstorming Session on the Comprehensive Reform of OIC as head of the IOFS delegation in Dhaka, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The OIC Member States and institutions are expected to raise issues on reforms and amendments to the rules and regulations of OIC. All issues were grouped by political, cultural, economic, administrative, financial, structural and organisational categories. Director General of IOFS would present his intervention with views on restructuring and reviving the basic principles of Islamic civilization.

On the sidelines of the main event, Director General had a pleasure to meet and discuss ongoing matters with H.E. Berik Aryn, honorable Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, and a special representative of Kazakhstan in OIC. 
Furthermore, Mr. Baidaulet discussed joining IOFS with delegates from Indonesia, Morocco, and Tunisia. Director General exchanged some relevant opinions upon this session’s topic with Director General of SESRIC, Mr. Nebil Dabur.

Director General was kindly invited to conduct a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Food and meet H.E. Mr. Sadhan Chandra Majumder, Honorable Minister of Food of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. During this meeting, the Honorable Minister ensured that all IOFS programmes are supported by Bangladesh. Finally, Mr. Baidaulet had the honor to meet Dr. Md Shahjahan Kabir, Director General of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute and his colleagues, and had fruitful discussions on rice production matters.
