On August 14, 2019, Director General of IOFS Yerlan Baidaulet met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Majid Samadzadeh Saber.
During the meeting, Yerlan Baidaulet informed the Ambassador about the activities of IOFS and prospects of its development, and drew his attention to the agenda of the Second General Assembly, scheduled for August 27-29, 2019 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Director General also expressed his gratitude to the Iranian side for supporting the initiative of the First President of Kazakhstan upon the establishment of IOFS and expressed confidence in fruitful cooperation between all member countries of the Organization.
In turn, Ambassador M.S. Saber confirmed that his country attaches great importance to food security issues and pays close attention to issues related to the need to increase the volume of mutual trade of agricultural products to the IOFS countries. Sharing goals and objectives of the Islamic organization, the parties spoke in favor of continuing mutually beneficial cooperation between the IOFS and Iran.
