On January 30, 2023, Minister of Municipality and Environment of the States of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie received IOFS Director General HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet. Parties discussed a wide range of issues related to cooperation and joint activities in the food security sector.

IOFS Director General HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet was assured of the highest support by the government of the State of Qatar in all IOFS activities and in its efforts to facilitate the improvement of the current food security state within OIC member countries.

Minister, H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie welcomed HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet and expressed appreciation for a visit and the significant effort, IOFS has made towards implementation of humanitarian, social, and economic strategic initiatives with essential impacts on food security systems. The two sides exchanged views on further enhancing cooperation aimed at supporting intra-OIC food security systems.

 

IOFS Director General was also engaged in the meeting with H.E Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mujahid Omar Hasna, President of Hamad Bin Khalifa University, the meeting was devoted to discussion of areas of common corporations and agreed to jointly implement mutual programs.

 

H.E. the Director General of the IOFS, accompanied by Dr. Masoud Jarallah Al-Marri, Chairman of the Executive Board of IOFS, also met with Mr. Tariq Fawzi, General Manager of the Corporate Banking Services in the Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), and Mr. Saeed Al-Khayen, Assistant General Manager of the Corporate Finance and Services Sector. The project consultancy team led by Mr.Rafiuddin Shikou (Dinar Standard) has made a presentation on the feasibility study for one of the IOFS stratehic projects. The two sides discussed cooperation in the field of trade and investment in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries and the promotion of intra-trade between Qatar and Kazakhstan.
