Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, Malaysia's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, has urged the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) to address the hunger and famine crisis in Palestine, especially impacting Gaza's children. During The Ninth Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Food Security Ministerial Meeting (9th FSMM) in Trujillo, Peru, he led Malaysia's delegation and joined other APEC economies in discussing global food security. The meeting resulted in the adoption of the Trujillo Principles and the APEC Trujillo Declaration on Food Security, which aim to guide sustainable food system development and support environmental preservation in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
