Today in Bishkek, representatives from the Kyrgyz Export Center met with Malaysian Ambassador Ilham Tuah Illias to discuss enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The meeting, reported by the Ministry of Economy and Kabar, focused on key areas such as trade, finance, and the potential establishment of joint ventures for food product processing. Both parties explored plans for Kyrgyz enterprises to undertake trade missions to Malaysia and participate in exhibitions in Kuala Lumpur, which would facilitate Kyrgyz goods' access to the Malaysian market and bolster business relationships between the two nations. Additionally, the Malaysian side expressed support for certifying Kyrgyz enterprises under halal standards, which would further open opportunities for Kyrgyz exports. The discussion concluded with an agreement to exchange experiences and conduct internships with the Malaysian Export Promotion Agency (MATRADE), aiming to enhance Kyrgyz enterprises' competencies and market reach. Both sides are optimistic about the future of their cooperation and committed to pursuing joint projects to strengthen economic ties.
