IOFS Director General holds a a high-level meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Strengthen Cooperation on Food Security

On 15 September 2023, the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), Prof. Yerlan Alimzhanuly Baidaulet, led a high-level delegation to Pakistan to engage in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation to bolster food security efforts with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, HE Mr.Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.

During the visit, the IOFS delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with the Prime Minister and expressed their commitment to advancing food security initiatives in the region. The delegation warmly welcomed the measures taken under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in Pakistan, recognizing their significance in promoting sustainable agriculture and food production.

Director General Prof. Yerlan Baidaulet emphasized the importance of international collaboration in addressing food security challenges, stating, “Food security is a global concern, and we must work together to find sustainable solutions. Pakistan’s efforts, including those under the SIFC, are commendable steps in this direction.”

The IOFS delegation pledged unwavering support and cooperation to the Pakistani government’s endeavors to strengthen food security and sustainable agriculture.
