IOFS and Indonesia Explore Potential Cooperation  in Sustainable and Renewable Energy

Astana, Kazakhstan – On 3 June 2024, an online technical meeting was held between the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) and an Indonesian delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by Mr. Moehammad Amar Ma'ruf (Directorate for Socio Cultural and International Organization of Developing Countries) and the Palm Sugar Research Team of the Department of Chemical-University of Indonesia, headed by Prof. Misri Gozan.

During the meeting, Prof. Misri made a presentation about their important project, while seeking a framework to accordingly work with the IOFS for the benefit of all Member States.

The IOFS side, represented by Prof. Zulfiqar Ali, Director of Programmes & Project Department, Dr. Ismail Abdelhamid, Head of Projects Office, Mr. Sofian  Ben Mouaddeb, Chief Countries Affair Officer, and  Mr. Abdula Manafi Mutualo, Chief Multilateral Affairs Officer, welcomed the discussions that could be a precursor for further engagements in the future provided that the proposed project is officially submitted to the Organization for consideration and approval for relevant organs, including the Executive Board and General Assembly.
