IOFS and IFPA Attend the 13th Annual Meeting of the Aman Union

The delegations of the Islamic Organization for Food Security and the International Islamic Food Processing Association attended the 13th Annual General Meeting of The Aman Union which was hosted by Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI) in collaboration with The Aman Union. The gathering brought together renowned leaders from the export credit insurance and finance industries, as well as from other critical industries that financial institutions serve. This year's Annual Meeting was especially notable, as it coincided with the UAE's “Year of Sustainability” and hosting of COP 28. In light of this critical issue, the event schedule included influential speakers and industry experts from a variety of areas.

H.E. Prof. Yerlan Alimzhanuly Baidaulet, Director General of the IOFS and Chairman of International Islamic Food Processing Association (IFPA) delivered a speech on food security during the session "The impact of the global geopolitical environment on reshaping the global food supply chain and its impact on OIC members." H.E. Prof. Baidaulet discussed with the session's panelists, the key issues of the OIC food supply chain, how the global chain affects OIC Memebr States, and presented new solutions for addressing the situation. H.E. Eng. Hani Sinbol, CEO - ITFC and acting CEO - ICD, and Dr. Ahmed El Tigani, CEO Al Rawabi Dairy Company, also attended the session. The Session presented in depth discussions with valuable insights in establishing a sustainable future and designing the road towards the common objective.


The delegations of the IOFS and IFPA, led by H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet and represented by Mr. Baglan Naribek of IOFS, Gulsum Kenenbayeva and Raushan Kumekbayeva of IFPA, were able to network and exchange ideas with representatives of ICD, The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) , ITFC, and other financial institutions from various countries.
