IOFS and Crans Montana Forum Aim to Strengthen Global Integration of OIC Member States

The Islamic Organization for Food Security and the Crans Montana Forum held a virtual meeting to discuss developing a joint action plan and strengthening cooperation.

The Founder of the Crans Montana Forum, H.E. Amb. Jean-Paul Carteron expressed his full support for the activities of the IOFS and noted the noble and crucial work being carried out by the IOFS Team under the leadership of the Director General of IOFS, H.E. Prof. Yerlan Alimzhanuly Baidaulet.The two parties were able to align visions in several realms to ensure food security, with a special emphasis on Africa, within the Africa Food Security Initiative of the IOFS.

Since 1986, the Crans Montana Forum, as a world leading International Institution dedicated to Public-Private Cooperation, then the IUHEI Crans Montana Institute, the WDA-World Diplomatic Academy and the Cercle du Forum have become the most exclusive and elegant meeting place for high level Officials and top decision makers from Governments and Business. They regularly participate for sharing experience, shaping the future and networking for the best of their activities.

The CMF has also moved food security to the top of its agenda, given the current realities around the world. Against this backdrop, the IOFS and CMF were able to agree on arranging several initiatives to support the development of the African Continent and promote global integration of Organization of Islamic Cooperation ( OIC ) Member States.

To note, the IOFS received the prestigious Prix De La Foundation (Crans Montana Forum Award) on November 2022 in Geneva, in recognition of the growing role of IOFS and its partners in bringing the vital aspect of food security to the global agenda (Awarded by HRH Prince Jean of Luxembourg).
