Astana, Kazakhstan – 12 November 2024 - Today, the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) successfully conducted the latest webinar in its ongoing series on Value Chain Analysis (VCA) as part of its commitment to advancing knowledge and technical skills in the agricultural sector across the OIC region. The training series aims to equip national experts and industry practitioners with practical tools for analyzing and optimizing agricultural value chains, a vital step in bolstering food security and rural incomes.

In this latest session, Dr. Ahmed Deif, a renowned expert in value chain management, delivered an in-depth exploration of VCA fundamentals. Participants engaged in an intensive study of various components of VCA, gaining insights into identifying and enhancing linkages within agricultural production, processing, and distribution channels. Dr. Deif’s expert insights provided actionable frameworks for implementing effective value chain strategies that can drive efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and promote regional trade.
