18 July 2024

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Kuwait Society for Relief (KSR) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing joint humanitarian efforts and strengthening regional and international disaster response initiatives. The agreement, signed by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, chairman of the board of trustees of the OIC's humanitarian funds, and Ibrahim Al Saleh, KSR chairman, establishes a platform for collaborative humanitarian work. It includes a commitment to contribute 500,000 Qatari Riyals (approximately $137,000) towards disaster, emergency, and crisis response efforts. This partnership underscores the organizations' shared goal of expanding their humanitarian impact through enhanced cooperation, expertise exchange, and joint relief projects.
