Doha, Qatar - 15 January 2025 – His Excellency Ambassador Berik Aryn, Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), successfully concluded his official visit to the State of Qatar with a fruitful meeting with H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity (QC). This meeting marked a pivotal moment in fostering stronger collaboration between IOFS and Qatar Charity in advancing development and humanitarian initiatives across the OIC Member States.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn provided an overview of IOFS's key activities and strategic plans aimed at strengthening food security and sustainable agricultural development, particularly in Afghanistan, Gaza, and several African Member States. In response, H.E. Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari expressed Qatar Charity’s readiness to support these initiatives and proposed working jointly on targeted development and humanitarian projects within the OIC geography.
Both sides expressed their shared interest in formalizing this partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future. To ensure the effective implementation of joint initiatives. Ambassador Aryn proposed launching consultations between IOFS and Qatar Charity to define concrete actions and collaborative projects that will deliver tangible impacts in the region.
This successful engagement reflects a significant milestone in strengthening the strategic partnership between IOFS and Qatar. The visit further laid the groundwork for impactful joint initiatives aimed at enhancing global food security, climate resilience, and sustainable agricultural development.
