On August 18, 2022, H.E. Pr. Yerlan Baidaulet Director-General of IOFS met with H. E. Dr. Omar Alkanderi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Embassy of Kuwait.
The two Officials reviewed the current state of IOFS-Kuwait bilateral relations, and H.E. Ambassador particularly highlighted the ongoing efforts of IOFS to address food security challenges and poverty alleviation in the OIC geography, specifically during food crises hardships that influence OIC vulnerable to food insecurity countries that are heavily dependent on the commodity imports.
In his Side, H.E Mr. Baidaulet gave an overview of IOFS foundation as the OIC specialized institution, IOFS Strategic Framework and IOFS Strategy 2031 with particular attention given to the achievements of the IOFS humanitarian programs, as well the two global programs, Afghanistan Food Security Programme and Year of Africa implementation plan.
Before the end of this fruitful meeting H. E. Kuwaiti Ambassador expressed the State of Kuwait’s willingness to cooperate actively with IOFS towards technical implementation of the indicated programs and pointed out the role of hosting country for further development of the Organization within OIC region.
