Article reviews recent ICARDA scientists’ research on the influence of agricultural extension on technology adoption on the evidence from rural Tunisia. The paper shows that attracting women farmers to special training has an impact on the overall adoption of agricultural innovations. Two out of the four tested technology adoption revealed female empowerment module.
The researchers outlined this research to gather information on how to decrease the gap in Tunisia in access to technology and innovation among landholders, specifically between women farmers.
