On June 17, Director-General of IOFS H.E. Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet held a virtual meeting with H.E. Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo, OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs upon the initiative of the OIC Secretariat.
Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet started the virtual meeting with thanking H.E. Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo and the OIC Secretariat for the continuous support given to its specialized institution IOFS. Director-General presented the IOFS strategic framework of programmes, the IOFS Vision 2031 and overview of ongoing activities implemented by the IOFS Secretariat.
Dr. Ahmad K. Sengendo assured providing permanent support from OIC Secretariat to the IOFS efforts and emphasized the importance of the Institution’s role in addressing critical challenges of hunger and malnutrition faced by OIC countries. He also emphasized the necessity of better coordination in order to facilitate the effectiveness of programs implementation.
In the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed to continue the cooperation and strengthen the coordination of joint activities, as well as to adopt the Roadmap of cooperation that will address details of communication between Secretariat of OIC and IOFS on different levels.
