The Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) held its Financial Control Committee Meeting for 2022 via videoconference on April 4, 2023. The FCC consists of three members, Eng. Mohammed Mousa Alameeri from the United Arab Emirates, and respective authorized representatives from the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting began with an introductory speech by IOFS Director-General H.E Yerlan Alimzhanuly Baidaulet, in which he underlined the critical nature of financial resources in implementing the IOFS goals and strategy, as well as his appreciation for the FCC members' effort and support. Eng. Mohammed Mousa Alameeri, Chairman of the FCC, expressed gratitude to the IOFS Secretariat for the report and commended the IOFS on its efforts to ensure sustained food security in the Member States and the Islamic Ummah, as well as its prosperity.
Additionally, Mr. Safwan Alsaaideh,Chief Financial Officer of IOFS, and Ms. Khashura Abdigalikova, Chief Accountant of IOFS, presented a brief report on the IOFS Annual Financial Report 2022, which was followed by a general discussion and comments on the Financial Report. To conclude the meeting, all members of the Committee reiterated their support to the IOFS.
