On March 30, 2022, the IOFS delegation led by the Director of Programs and Projects Department, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, paid a working visit to the S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical Research University. The meeting was hosted by the first Vice-Chairman of the Board Dr. Aitzhan Abdyrov and Director of the Department of International Relations Ms. Saltanat Meiramova.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects of cooperation on a joint Action Plan for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between IOFS and KazATU. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali noted that the IOFS has the capacity to assist KazATU establish relations with international networks, such as RUFORUM, which includes 163 universities. He also suggested considering the possibility of transferring technologies for hybrid wheat between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
Furthermore, the parties considered various options for KazATU's participation in the 2nd IOFS High-Level Forum on Food Security. Dr. Aitzhan Abdyrov suggested holding exhibitions on the university campus and at the Scientific-production center for grain farming named after A. Barayev.
