A statement by GCC General Secretariat said the remarks were made during a meeting between Al-Budaiwi and the Director General of Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) Yerlan Baidaulet in Riyadh.
The statement added that the two sides also tackled issues of common concern and follow up on the Memo of Understanding (MoU) between GCC and IOFS.
Baidaulet also congratulated Al-Budaiwi on assuming the new post, wishing him success.
