On 28 December 2022, a regular working meeting was held between the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security, His Excellency Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet, and the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, His Excellency Mr. Yerbol Sh. Karashukeyev. 

The IOFS Director General informed the Minister about the results of the work accomplished by the Secretariat for 2022, as well as the results of the 10th IOFS Executive Board Meeting, held on 13 December 2022 in Astana, Kazakhstan. 

During the meeting, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan was presented with the implementation of two pilot projects of the IOFS Sheep Farming Fund and Bakery Supply Chain Production, aimed at expanding trade between the OIC countries in livestock products (mutton and lamb), as well as flour products with high added value. The parties also discussed further plans for the creation of the IOFS Fund, a program aimed at increasing the financing of the agricultural industries of the OIC member states.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed support for the programmed that were discussed, as well as readiness to assist in their implementation.

The meeting concluded with discussions on the technical aspects of coordinating further actions for the effective implementation of the agreements that were reached between the two parties.
