On 21 November 2022, a delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), headed by Ambassador Ahmed Sareer, Director of Asian Affairs, was received for a courtesy visit at the Headquarters of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS). The receiving side was headed by Dr. Ismail Abdelhamid, Director of Programmes & Projects Office, and accompanied by Mr. Abdula Manafi Mutualo, Senior Liaison Officer, and Mr. Sofian Ben Mouaddeb, CPO Senior Manager.
The visit was an opportunity to exchange views on furthering the existing excellent coordination with the OIC General Secretariat and for the guests to understand better the important work the IOFS is implementing for the benefit of all Member States, as the issue of food security has become one of the main priorities within diplomatic circles.
It should be mentioned here that the OIC Delegation has been in the capital of Kazakhstan as an Observing Mission to the Presidential Elections held on 20 November 2022.
