IOFS Starts Preparations of its 5th General Assembly with  Tunisian Task Force Bilateral Meeting

His Excellency Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet, the Director General of the Islamic Organization of Food Security (IOFS), led the Secretariat’s Task Force in the virtual technical meeting with Ms. Faten Khamassi, Chief of Cabinet at the Minister of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Fisheries, and coordinator of the Task Force of the Republic of Tunisia, hosting of the 5th IOFS General Assembly to be held on 10-11 October 2022.
 
The Tunisian Task Force is composed of officials from relevant Ministries, including Foreign Affairs, Interior, Agriculture and some Institutes that are dealing with agriculture and food security, while the IOFS side was represented by Cabinet, Program and Projects Office, and Cooperation & Protocol Office.
 
The meeting reviewed all necessary logistical and substantive matters to ensure the successful holding of the 5th General Assembly, which was facilitated by the groundwork being done since 28 August 2022 by the IOFS Advance Team visiting Tunisia.  
 
It should also be highlighted the participation Mr. Saleh Lootah, Acting CEO of the International Islamic Food Processing Association (IFPA), and his staff with a view to preparing a sub-event on a Forum within the International Exhibition of Agricultural Investment and Technology (SIAT) to be held in Tunis on 12 October 2022, which will be an opportunity to showcase the merits of IFPA as an important IOFS subsidiary on related matters.
 
With nothing further, the two sides decided also to continue consultations remotely and/or in-person to facilitate all pending and outstanding issue before the holding of the IOFS annual solemn gathering.
