IOFS had a meeting with Women Development Organization

On February 21, 2022 Ambassador Daulet Yemberdiyev, Director of the Cooperation and Protocol Office at IOFS held a bilateral meeting with HE Ms. Fatma Alzahraa Abdelkawy, Director for Policy, Program and Inter-governmental Support at the Women Development Organization (WDO), a specialized body of the OIC focuses on improving the status of women in OIC Member States.

At the aforesaid meeting, Mr. Daulet Yemberdiyev conveyed the warmest congratulations to the WDO on the appointment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia representative HE Dr.Afnan Alshuhaiby during the “Third Extraordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of the WDO, held virtually on 16 February 2022, and wished success in discharging important tasks.



Mr. Daulet Yemberdiyev expressed appreciation for the work of initial consultations between the IOFS and WDO through the first technical meeting, held virtually on 14 February 2022.

Parties exchanged views on strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the two Specialized Institutions of the OIC, and agreed on joint initiatives within Year for Africa 2022 project, as well as “Promotion of Economic Empowerment for Women” and “Women and Climate Change” and expressed willingness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the sidelines of the 48th Council of Foreign Ministers, scheduled on 22-23 March 2022 in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
