Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan paid a visit to the IOFS

On December 15, 2021, the Director General of the IOFS H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E.Sajjad Ahmed Seehar.

H.E. Ambassador congratulated the Director General on the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and conveyed the personal invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan H.E. Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

At the meeting, officials discussed ongoing preparations for the 17th Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled to hold in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 19 December 2021.

Highlights of conversation concerned to support IOFS initiatives from the Government of Pakistan on "urgently mobilize financial resources from the OIC Member States to provide emergency humanitarian food assistance to the Afghan people from the beginning of 2022", "creation of OIC Food Security Reserve", "IOFS Donor Conference for Humanitarian Food Assistance to Afghanistan” and member countries’ support within the framework of the humanitarian program of IOFS “Flour for humanity”.

Furthermore, the Director General of IOFS presented the existing 16 programs under 5 pillars, and told about the latest updates, such as the 10-year strategy of IOFS, as well as plans for the coming 2022.

E. Sajjad Ahmed Seehar thanked the IOFS Director-General for providing such important information and fully supported all IOFS strategic programs.
