Today, the Director General of IOFS HE Yerlan A. Baidaulet has participated in the main event devoted to the International Day of Neutrality that was outstandingly organized by the Turkmen government.  The opening session of the Peace and Trust Forum was effectively chaired by the Country President H.E. Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov.

 

The same day afternoon the IOFS Director General delivered a keynote address at the plenary session named "Policy of Peace and Trust:  Neutrality and Preventive Diplomacy in Peacebuilding".

 

Thereafter H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet met the Deputy Prime-Minister-Foreign Minister H.E. Rashid O. Meredov. During the meeting parties discussed issues related to bilateral relations between IOFS and Turkmenistan as joint collaboration on OIC CFM, as well as implementation of IOFS strategic programs, including Food Security Reserves, Water Management, National Food Sector Development and Flour for Humanity. The Turkmen Minister expressed a desire to gain insight about recent developments of the IOFS Group and expressed willingness of the Turkmenistan government to sign the IOFS Statute in early 2022 and to utilize all opportunities provided by the IOFS for its member countries.
