The issues relating to the forthcoming meetings of the IOFS General Assembly to be held on August 27-29 in Jeddah, Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia, have been discussed at the meeting. Critical issues of further institutional development of this only International Organization with headquarters in Nur-Sultan were also covered at the meeting.
IOFS will take into account the priority tasks of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a founding country with regard to attraction of investment and development of food export to OIC member countries.
Ministers responsible for food security from approximately 33 IOFS participating countries are planned to take part at the forthcoming General Assembly. It is worth noting that in accordance with the Resolution of the previous General Assembly meeting, Kazakhstan is chairing the IOFS General Assembly. The parties have agreed to cooperate and organize a joint working group.
