The final day of the ICECS conference has become the most productive for the IOFS. The IOFS Director General HE Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet held a preliminary discussion on the new Joint Action Plan with COMSTECH.

Furthermore, heads of OIC organizations met with OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology, Ambassador Mr. A. Mussinov before whom Modus Operandi was signed which is aimed to implement this year several events in the field of science and technology.

The next round of talks was held with the Director for African affairs of the OIC Political Department, Ambassador Mr. Boubakar Adamou, where sides discussed the scope of cooperation in food security assistance of African member countries.

Also, as part of interactions on AFSP issues, a joint meeting of IOFS, ICIC and the OIC Department for Humanitarian Affairs was held. Upon completion, a general Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IOFS and ICIC. In the short run, a joint working group meeting is planned to develop specific Joint Action Plan.

As a result of the intensive 3-days intra-OIC conference, all proposed draft reports and recommendations for 48th session of OIC CFM in Islamabad on 23-24 March were after several hours of deliberations finally adopted.
