The national newspapers published today, Tuesday, paid attention to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives that the Ministry of Supply would continue to adopt a plan to enhance efforts to provide basic commodities and to strengthen strategic reserves from them in anticipation of any possible second wave of the Corona pandemic, in addition to Egypt confirming its firm position on the Palestinian issue, and the preemptive strikes directed by the Ministry Interior to pursue fugitive terrorist elements.
Al-Ahram, Al-Akhbar and Al-Gomhoria newspapers highlighted President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi directing the Ministry of Supply to continue adopting a plan to enhance efforts to provide basic commodities and enhance strategic reserves of them, which were followed during the period of the Corona pandemic, in anticipation of any possible second wave of Corona, And to meet the needs of citizens in appropriate quantities and prices, while making them available at government and supply outlets nationwide.
This came during President Sisi’s meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, and Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi.

The Spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Bassam Radi, stated that the meeting dealt with following up the situation regarding the strategic stocks of basic food commodities during the next six months, and the government’s efforts to provide them to citizens, as well as reviewing efforts to establish and raise the efficiency of silos and strategic stores at the level of the Republic.
President El-Sisi also directed to select the best sites for silos in terms of their proximity to roads, hubs and distribution outlets to facilitate their task in storing strategic goods, taking into account the modern infrastructure that Egypt enjoys in this field throughout the republic.
The Ministry of Supply’s plans to develop a number of food industry companies, especially “Qaha” and “Edfina” companies, were also reviewed, in order to restore their distinguished production, with the aim of enhancing the value of the national product in the local market, increasing its competitiveness, and maximizing export opportunities.

President El-Sisi also directed the development of the bakery system at the level of the Republic, through automating the work cycle and modernizing logistical processes, with the aim of improving production quality, reducing waste, and developing service for citizens.
In a separate context, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directed the strengthening of development cooperation with international bodies, stressing the selection of the best financing alternatives with the governance of the optimal use of the financing provided by international institutions to maximize the benefit in achieving comprehensive development in various sectors, with the immediate start of the implementation of completed projects. Among the contractual procedures related to its financing packages, especially those related to production and industrial projects.
This came during President Sisi’s meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, and Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat.

The spokesman explained that the Minister of International Cooperation reviewed the ministry’s most prominent efforts, especially with regard to increasing the effectiveness of development cooperation with international partners, by making use of successful expertise and experiences as an effective way to achieve development, in addition to following up the progress of work in the most prominent development projects being implemented in various sectors in the country.
The results of Dr. Rania Al-Mashat’s inspection tour of development projects in the agricultural sector in the Upper Egypt region were reviewed in cooperation with the World Food Program, which came on the occasion of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, and to emphasize the importance of food security to achieve sustainable development, as the total beneficiaries of this are expected to reach Agricultural projects by 2023 to about 500 villages in Upper Egypt, whether in terms of using modern irrigation systems or enhancing strategic agricultural crops by developing agricultural systems.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat also presented the Ministry’s activities with regard to loans and financing packages that are being negotiated, whether at the bilateral or multilateral level, to support the various sectors of the state, as well as the Ministry’s efforts to activate the private sector’s participation in development projects by strengthening Egypt’s position as a regional center to attract Entrepreneurs, as well as endeavors to enhance development cooperation with various African countries.
The minister reviewed the ministry’s activities within the framework of the state’s general strategy towards the development of Sinai in its various stages, and the executive stance towards the financing part of implementing development projects in Sinai, in order to support the Sinai community socially and economically, and to promote the concept of sustainable development.

In this context, President El-Sisi directed the expansion of the development gatherings that are being implemented in Sinai, while studying the successful societal experiences in which NGOs have participated, in order to ensure the formation of fully-fledged societies and services, as well as efforts to support economic activity, encourage investment and provide job opportunities in these gatherings.
With regard to international relations, the newspapers highlighted Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry’s affirmation of Egypt’s firm stance on the Palestinian issue and support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy decisions, affirming Egypt’s support for all efforts. Aimed at achieving stability, peace and security.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Hafez explained that the two Palestinian officials conveyed the Palestinian side’s appreciation for the continuous Egyptian support for Palestinian rights, and briefed the Foreign Minister about the latest developments related to the Palestinian issue and the vision for future moves, as well as the ongoing efforts to restore cohesion and reunify the Palestinian ranks. In this regard, the centrality of the Egyptian role in healing the Palestinian rift and achieving the desired reconciliation.
Minister Shoukry emphasized the continuation of Egyptian efforts aimed at providing all forms of support to the leadership and the brotherly Palestinian people during these delicate circumstances.
