On June 3, managers of IOFS had a chance to speak about the IOFS programmes in a TV marathon on food security organised by Atameken Business channel.
Besides IOFS, a number of representatives of various food and agricultural enterprises joined the marathon and discussed current issues of Kazakhstan’s food industry. The pandemic hit the industry especially hard and exposed the weaknesses in the supply chain. The industry leaders admitted to feeling vulnerable during the pandemic and struggling to meet the demands of the population. The participants also addressed other issues of trade, logistics and export.
IOFS managers elaborated more on the IFPA programme and reviewed the instruments that IOFS could offer to the members of IFPA, such as attraction of relevant financing, investments, support of governmental and other international structures in the implementation process.
