"Prospects for the development of food security of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia" in Dubai, UAE, on 21 February 2022

 

Background: As the world's population continues to grow, much more effort and innovation is urgently needed to increase agricultural productivity, improve the functioning of the global supply chain, reduce food losses and food waste, and ensure access for all people suffering from hunger.

Such pressing problems as drought, climate change, water scarcity, as well as the pandemic, have a negative impact on the development of agriculture, thereby undermining the food security of each country.

 

Organizers: National Agrarian Science Educational Center (NASEC) and Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS)

 

Objectives:

International conference will serve as an excellent platform for the exchange of experience in the field of sustainable agricultural development, as well as for discussing topical issues that hinder the development of food security.

 

 The event would include the following Sessions:

  1. Strategic commodities;
  2. Food Safety and Livestock;
  3. Investment opportunities in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan.

 

Participants

 

The International conference is expected to be participated by the representatives of Ministry of Agriculture of Central Asian countries, representatives of scientific institutions of Central Asian countries, representatives of agricultural holdings among others.
