NFA SUPPORTS BULOG TO ABSORB MORE FOOD COMMODITIES

Indonesian news agency Antara https://en.antaranews.com/ has published an article about a state-owned enterprise State Logistics Agency (Bulog) supported by the National Food Agency (NFA). Bulog is aimed to integrate varied food commodities, including rice and diversify food stock of the country. In cooperation with NFA it is committed to stabilize food price caused by inflation and self-sufficiency of food commodities. Bulog is outlined to transform into agile and adaptive state-owned enterprise to diversify and increase the volume of stock of food commodities.
 
As per results of Bulog’s activities geared to diversify commodities and securing supply chain management, NFA plans to upgrade its capacity as the state food reserve company. Recently, NFA had highlighted the urgency of strengthening national food reserves to face food crisis and inflation issues. National food reserves are planned to be utilized as emergency intervention to support victims of natural disasters.
