On September 15, 2022 Director General of Islamic Organization for Food Security H.E Prof. Yerlan A. Baidaulet continued a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with two-sided important meetings.
IOFS Director General started a day conducting a meeting with Deputy Finance Minister for International Affairs of KSA, Dr. Ryadh M. Alkhareif.
During the productive exchanges, Director General had the opportunity to brief on the mission and vision of the IOFS, while expressing his concern about the current food insecurity situation globally. Officials discussed wide range of issues, exchanged views on the aspects of close bilateral cooperation opportunity in food trade and investment development all across OIC countries.
IOFS Director General was also engaged in the meeting with Group CEO of Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), H.E Eng. Sulaiman A. AlRumaih. The meeting conducted at the Head office of the state-owned company, was devoted to discussion of areas of common interests. IOFS delegation was warmly received by the SALIC team, parties during the meeting discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation and agreed to jointly implement mutual projects in OIC member countries.
