IOFS PARTICIPATED IN THE WATER AND FOOD SECURITY EVENT OF THE UAE EMBASSY

The IOFS delegation participated in the workshop hosted by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event, attended by representatives of state institutions, strategic partners of the Embassy as well as representatives of the media was devoted to the issues of food security, water management, creative economy and tolerance.

The event was inaugurated by the recorded presentation of the President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and related to the climate change challenges facing the world today and UAE’s efforts in reducing its consequences.



Furthermore, Head of Political, Economic and Media Affairs of the UAE Embassy, ​​Ms.Mira Alazizi presented a very informative review about UAE’s commitment on climate change mitigation and projects in the sphere of clean energy technologies. Additionally, Head of the Consular section of the Embassy, Mr.Ammar Albreiki discussed about the cultural landmark in the UAE capital, Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi to open in 2022 which includes a synagogue, a church and a mosque and meant to be a beacon of understanding and peaceful coexistence.

The workshop was continued by the lively Q&A session where IOFS representatives expressed their appreciation for UAE’s effort in peace building and climate change mitigation and confirmed strong willingness in strengthening bilateral relations between IOFS and the UAE.
