On December 6, 2021, a working meeting was held between the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Nuryshev Sh.Sh. and the IOFS Director General H.E. Baidaulet Y.A.
At the meeting, issues related to the activities of the IOFS since May 2021 were discussed. During this period, a lot of important events were held, including 4th General Assembly of the IOFS. A 10-year strategy was adopted, a large number of country visits were carried out with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the discussion a number of issues were raised, including Joint Action plan between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the hosting country on cooperation with the IOFS.
The Director General informed the Acting Minister on programming initiatives, incl. Flour for Humanity & Food Security Reserve, in terms of humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. In this regard, the issue of interaction with the Ministry in preparation for the OIC CFM meeting in mid-December 2021 in Islamabad was discussed.
In addition, Mr. Nuryshev Sh.Sh. was informed on the IOFS initiative - Road Map Year of Africa, as well as on the upcoming 8th IOFS Executive Board to be held online on December 8.
Both sides are agreed on further collaboration in 2022.
