Collaboration opportunities discussed in Oman

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Oman, Najimedin Mukhametali held a meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Wealth Hamad Al-Aufi in Muscat, Oman.
Sides spoke of developing collaborative relationship in agriculture between Kazakhstani and Oman companies. Oman expressed interest in increasing supply of imported products such as grain and meat, and in exporting seafood. Mr. Al-Aufi also suggested to organize exchange of visits by Heads of Agricultural departments.
Moreover, parties exchanged views on logistics to increase supply of agricultural products of both countries. For instance, they noted the potential of Kazakhstan – Iran railway, as well as International Transit-Transport Corridor (Ashgabat agreement), members of which are Iran, Kazakhstan, Oman, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Sides also noted the necessity of strengthening mutual cooperation to develop transportational chains.
