Morocco Joins Islamic Organization for Food Security

Morocco plays an important role in food security in the African region and worldwide.

On February 25, 2021, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Mustapha Mansouri, the Ambassador of Morrocco to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), signed the statute of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS).

He had a meeting with Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, the OIC Secretary-General, to discuss the cooperation areas between Morocco and OIC.

Morocco will benefit from the cooperation with IOFS in the fields of technologies, joint implementation of projects, research. Moroccon agricultural companies and investors will have more opportunities to the international OIC market.
