Head of IOFS takes part at the 43rd session of ICECS

On 4 February, IOFS delegation headed by Director General attended the 43rd session of the Islamic Commission on Economic, Cultural and Social Affairs (ICECS). The session covers economic affairs, issues of science & technology, information technology, dialogue and outreach, as well as cultural, social and family affairs. The event is held from 4 to 6 February 2020 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Full information about IOFS and its activities were presented at the introductory statements about economic affairs, which addressed issues of agriculture, food security, and rural development.

During the event, the Director-General and Deputy Director-General held several meetings with country and OIC institutes’ delegations. The meetings were held with high-level officials such as Ashraf S. Dahroug, Head of Technical Affairs at ISSF; Shahin Abdullayev, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to KSA; SM Anisul Haque, Minister and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh in OIC; Prof. Dr. Halt Eren, Director General of Research Centre for Islamic History, Art & Culture (IRCICA); Prof. Ahmed Farid Mostapha, Vice-President of World Federation of Arab Islamic International Schools; Salih Mutlu Sen, Ambassador of Turkey; Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh, Ambassador of Sierra Leone.

Director-General would also deliver a speech at a joint session with other OIC specialised bodies.
